Stocking flowers......

I was always fascinated by the stocking flowers, I saw them at my cousins place in my childhood and thought of making them ever since.

And guess what my childhood passed, my teenage passed, finished my studies, got married and finally...i got a chance to experiment with stocking. I chose the purple color cause it goes with my house theme, made very few flowers but happy with the result.

I first made the simple version of the flowers using the ready-made pollen and then tried the roses.

I filled a crystal glass with flat marbles and just stuck the rose stem in.:)

Will try the other variants too...will update them.

Beach treasure...wreath

Hi!

I was always fascinated by the holiday wreaths and found many patterns, designs using different materials. But the one which I loved to pieces was the one made with shells, cause that is a very nice way to store or rather display the beach treasure and can use it as a memorabilia.
I have a very bad habit of collecting beach treasure when ever I happen to visit one, all the shells have been lying around until I decided to do this fun craft.Wanted to try them since a long time and thank fully I could make one now. Hope you like it.

I used different types of shells and some beach stones, sea glass and other funny stuff from the beach. Used Styrofoam for the base and covered it with muslin cloth so that the shells stick well. Used fevicol to adhere them onto the base.

I wrapped it with a shiny tulle cloth and hung it in my living room.

I painted this recently...did not turn out as i expected though.

Stiil life in Pencil..

Still life is my favorite when it comes to pencil sketching.

I used hb, 3b and 9b to finish this. Drawn on a paper 11"x14". took about 3 hours, happy with the output. Hope you all will like it.

Hello everyone!

This is my first post in my new blog. I have been writing about all my interests and hobbies in a single blog..but later I decided that it is getting complicated so I started new blogs for different categories. 

My old blog..Deepthi Nannam.. will have all the posts about flora and fauna...it will basically be a Gardening blog.

The other  new blog is...Deepthi's Kitchen which will contain all my experiments in the kitchen

And ViDee creations will contain all the artistic stuff that I do.

ViDee creations..the name is an amalgam of my Hubby Vinod and me i.e. Deepthi. Hope you like the name.

This blog is dedicated to my dear parents...who have encouraged me all the while to go ahead with whatever I liked and would openly criticize every work of mine no matter what..Thank you MA and PA..Love you both and really blessed to be your darling daughter.
